The framing is going up! You can see our small prefab coop on the right. We’ll keep it to quarantine sick birds and introduce new members to the flock but the girls will be much happier in their new, MUCH larger home!

I couldn’t find nesting box plans I liked so I drew up my own. Am I the only one who regularly does rough sketches?

The coop has walls and windows! Yay! Matt added some special vents in the peak of the roof to help keep air flowing through the coop and cute windows that can be propped open in summer to allow for a breeze. I’ve also started cutting the pieces for the nesting box I designed above.
